Front Page team embarked on an ambitious project to completely remake the face of the company. The goal was to make the Front Page into the most important starting point on the web while also showcasing Yahoo!’s commitment to openness. From the engineering team’s perspective, this meant turning the Front Page into a framework upon which Yahoo! and its partners could build new functionality and experiences rapidly.

The only caveat is that CSS counters are not yet implemented in IE, although they are on the roadmap for IE8.
